Features

World

A story wiki beside your chapters, and tools for the world behind them.

The story wiki

A page for each character, place or piece of lore, in categories with the fields you design. Each page lists the chapters that name it. Click a name beside your chapter and its page opens in a slide-over, so you keep your place. The Worldbuilding set adds categories such as Species, Culture, Religion and Magic and tech system. A chapter with the story wiki entry for Nell Ashby open in a slide-over beside it, showing her summary and her role in the story. The chapter stays open.

Relationships and family trees

The relationship map draws the pages that point at each other, through details such as “Close to” and links in the text. Click a dot to open its page. Tick Family tree and it draws generations in rows from Parents and Partners details. It only reads your wiki. Read more

A family tree drawn from the story wiki: two families over three generations, grandparents in the top row, their children and partners below, and the grandchildren under them.

Timeline, calendars and story order

Give chapters and scenes a date in the story, and the plan can list them in the order things happen, tagging each flashback. Invent calendars with your own months, leap years, moons, seasons and clocks, and write dates in them. The timeline puts pages, chapters and scenes in order. Calendars · Timeline

The timeline of the story wiki for one year: dated events and chapters in order, each chapter with its synopsis, weekday, season and moon.

Languages and the name maker

Give an invented language its sound rules and a lexicon of words. The name maker makes names and words that follow the rules, the same ones again for the same seed. It is rules and chance on your device, not AI. Send the lexicon to your dictionary and the spellchecker accepts its words. Read more

The name maker of an invented language: a column of made-up names that follow its sound rules, each with Keep and Copy.

Checks between your world and your book

See each character’s age in every chapter, from a Born date in your own calendar, and the moons on a chapter’s date. Say which chapter a page is meant to be met in, and get a gentle note where its name turns up sooner. They are notes only: your words are never changed. Read more

Also: pictures on wiki pages; other names for a page; pages for one book or the whole series; maps of your world (see Maps).

Free, all of it. None of it is AI. No account needed.
